CGS

The Center for Gulf Studies at AUK is having the following symposium:

The theme of the inaugural GSS, to be held on 22-24 March 2013, is Gulf Cities: Space, Society, Culture.  This three-day public symposium will bring together local, regional, and international scholars to engage in an inter-disciplinary dialogue on diverse issues related to urbanism and urbanization in the Gulf and Arabian peninsula (including the GCC states, Iran, Iraq, and Yemen).  Leading historians, ethnographers, political scientists, architects, and theorists on the Gulf will be presenting current and innovative research on the space, society, and culture of Gulf cities.
