And We're Back..
So apparently i couldn't post an entry yesterday,
just comments.
Which, really, makes me very sad indeed.
(omg, it smells like cooked dog food. god.)
So, i figure if i keep listening to Steven Tyler's voice i can get through the day with it smelling like a damp basement. You know, one that has dogs. And a cook. Who cooks thier dog food. Oh god, i think i'm imaging maggots!
(i really feel like i have to keep reminding myself that this isn't my personal blog, and that it's actually supposed to be archeology related somehow..)
meh.
So!
Yesterday,
I was working my usual hours at the upstairs room, numbering and stuff. My boss walks in like, an hour and a half after i did (i was alone), and starts commenting on my work, choosing pieces to photograph, stuff like that.
The day before, i had thrown a hissy fit over the fact that there's no air circulating in that room, (lest the A/C mess anything up), and he was not impressed. Then, i threw a shit fit when he told me that i needed to write a report on what i'm doing. Now, i don't mind - at all, in fact. It's just that homeboy decided to let me know this when i've already reached artifact number 483! I'm like,
"so you want me to write down each bag number, then the number of artifacts in them, then how many we decided to number, and what materials they are?"
He was all like, 'yeah, so in the end we can count them'.
I glared.
Simmeringly.
Glaring.
Then, and becuase this 'i-take-credit-for-work-i-didn't-do' has to stop, i bluntly tell him that i've been here everyday, and therefore, i will put and sign my name and the times i leave on a paper. Told him that no one else will be added to the final report (which goes to the museum manager then to the Amin 3am) unless i see thier faces here everyday, working. Told him that the last course i was in had me and four others working, yet nine names were in the final report, and that i wasn't as 'considerate' and 'generous' as the last guy who wrote the report; and added names of people just because he knew he needed to.
That was shit fit #1.
#2 came yesterday,
I was working my usual hours at the upstairs room, numbering and stuff. :p
Then i realize that there's something off.
I keep doing what i'm doing, only when it was time to clear the table for new bags, it makes sense again.
Someone moved around my labels.
A bag has two labels.
One on the inside; one outside on the string that secures it.
Now, bags with artifacts, and no labels.
Oh, HELL no.
So, shit fit # 2.
Which,
:D,
resulted in me having sole access to the upstairs work room.
Without my being there,
no one is allowed to touch my stuff.
However,
it just means that i'm the only person that works up there.
Alone.
Which is FINE, omg SO FINE, becuase i can sing and dance to my heart's content.
But it means that it'll take longer to number.
In the end, though,
i am a happy number-er.
This post has been insane, and nonsensicle i'm sure.
Deal with it :D
Until next time!
