Dates, CSC, Dates

A few things i'm smiling about:

- The fact that my tagine yesterday was just scrumptious.
- The fact that even though there's a discrepency between the date for my Jordan trip and the date that is on the acceptance letter, there are three people who have made it top priority to fix it.
- The fact that even though i had to go to Diwan il Khidma, and went to the one in the City only to find out that they moved to Shwaikh, i was fortunate enough to find parking in the non-existant parking space available.
- The fact that the lady i was sent to was a breath of fresh air (no gum chewing, no insane make-up, no obnoxious-ness), and who helped me out with the paper-filling and the mix-up correcting.
- The fact that she was soft-spoken and knew her job and had everything ready.
- The fact that she said 'okik' to me as i drank water and nearly choked from snickering, and the fact that she didn't notice.
- The fact that she was just so unlike every other government employee that was a paper-pusher.
- The fact that when i got back to the Museum, the lady in charge of my papers on this end already steam-rolled the 'correcting the dates' process.
- The fact that Chemistry Guy and Bu A7med were waiting for me to hear the news, both offering earnestly to 'ikhal9oon awraagee' for me with thier middle-management contacts.
- The fact that when i offered my dates (i bring tamur with me to work as a sugar fix), they both allowed me to take the dates out and give it to them, instead of getting thier grimey hands all over the rest.
- The fact that the weather was beautiful.
- The fact that i'm optimistic and happy-go-lucky even though nearly everyone hinted that i might not end up going because a million and a half people need to re-sign everything.
- The fact that my coffee is now in perfect-chugging temperature :D

This is totally going to be under the label 'rave', which is far and few in a place like this :D
