Multiple News

Today's Observation, lest i forget: Offering Dates (tamur) to co-workers when they pop in on a kleenex is both ingenious and stoopid. You see, one one hand, you totally avoid that omg gross, please don't touch the other pieces, but on the other, there's the fact that the dibbs on the tamur is so plentiful that it sticks on the kleenex.
I'm getting a little plate with me.

In more important news:

Today is one of the weirdest days at work.

- I get a plate of food b/c some dude gave birth next to us (ie: not in the main building, but in the storage, where i used to hang out).
- And i'm not saying this in order of importance, but instead of how i remember it going down..
- Anyways.....
- (using the " - " sign makes me feel important)...
- -
har.

- Ok, so i get more papers from the Jordan trip that is basically asking me to commit and confirm and sign myself over to the trip by this wednesday.
- I called them but i left a voice mail
- I emailed them and told them that basically since i got the new dates (instead of 3/6 like they said the acceptance letter is now 10/6), that all the signatures and ok'ays that i got now all have to be re-signed and such.
- 99%, it won't be done by Wednesday.
- Loser faces....
- Not my peeps, the ones who decided to change the dates from the time that they told us (as is also on the website), to the time of the acceptance letter.
- Idiots.

- Some chick also came and sat in my office, and she doesn't even work here.
- she left me Jordanian treats, and i'm trying to get rid of them, as i don't do ma3moul and the like
- she's studying english at the arab open university, and if she graduates from there then i'm not going to respect anyone who graduates from there. kept saying 'bil kwaiti, ibleaze', and i translated into 'gilt shwayya 3allay 9ootich lema itkalmeen bu a7med, la'ana ma yisma3 tara, fa lat7asbeen ina 7agrich'..

- i got the offer of being ra'eesat qisim il mabani il tarikhiyya, which is defunct and has been without a department head or employees for over two years. i'm being told it's poison, but i can't figure out if i wanna take it on just so i can start doing something. But apparently, even if i take it on, there are secret people at the KCCAL that will make sure i don't have any 9ala7iyat or power to change anything.
i don't know...

Anyways,
even more important news is that i am still uncertain if, since i only told them like, three hours ago, if my request for vacation days off (ijaza) can be processed for this Monday - Wednesday.
i just found out that i need to be in Geneva for something that isn't stupid or trivial, (and is not for personal enjoyment, unless you like waiting for news about a loved one at a hospital in rainy weather). If it doesn't go through then i'm just taking 3 of my 4-allowed 6aari'a's.

What's really funny about this whole thing is that i hate travelling alone. Absolutely try to avoid it at all costs *anxiety issues at the check-in/immigration desks*....
But what's really hilarious in that non-lol way is that i just got back from oversees yesterday, and no, it wasn't Dubai or some Gulf state...

I need to stop being called oversees so urgently and so suddenly.

This post is weird and personal.
And it's my feeble attempt at pleading with you to pray for me not to blackout (like i'm prone to doing) at a random airport.....

YAY GROUP PRAYERS!
*optimism so doesn't suit me*

Until then,
my people.
